Ethan Aguilar,
Clarinet & Bass Clarinet
Ethan Aguilar is a dedicated clarinetist from San Antonio, Texas, actively shaping his musical career through performance and education. A graduate of Taft High School, he is currently pursuing a degree in Music Performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio, studying under the esteemed Dr. Nicholas Councilor.
Ethan is a versatile performer, regularly showcasing his talent with the UTSA Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Clarinet Choir. Beyond his university ensembles, he is an active member of the Heart of Texas Concert Band and the 210 Jazz Orchestra. His passion for music has also led him to perform with the Trinity University Wind Ensemble, Helotes Area Community Band, and the River City Big Band. He is also a recent member of the Prickly Pear Clarinet Ensemble, further expanding his expertise in chamber music.
In the summer of 2024, Ethan expanded his musical expertise by attending the Bass Clarinet Intensive at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. There, he had the opportunity to study with renowned clarinetists Jeff Anderle, Jonathan Russell, Stefanie Gardner, and Jerry Simas, further refining his technique and artistic approach.
Ethan is also a proud Clarinet World Artist, representing the brand and contributing to the global clarinet community through his performances and musicianship.
With a strong commitment to performance and continuous learning, Ethan Aguilar is quickly establishing himself as a dynamic and skilled musician in both classical and jazz settings. As he continues to grow, he remains dedicated to sharing his artistry and contributing to the vibrant music community in Texas and beyond.
